Living Wage is based on the values that all workers should earn enough to live above poverty in their community. In Bloomington, Illinois this means a worker must, at a minimum, earn $9.81 per hour. The Living Wage campaign in Bloomington envisions that all City workers and subcontracted workers should be paid at least this amount. The campaign is spearheaded by the Central Illinois Organizing Project (CIOP), a faith-based community organization. www.ciop.org
